VICTORIA, B.C. – (March 25, 2025) – Vecima Networks Inc. (TSX: VCM) will showcase content solutions that deliver significantly improved quality with AI, efficiency, and performance at the 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
Vecima is the exclusive global provider of Digital Harmonic’s KeyFrame™ Media Optimization Solution, which enables Content Providers to elevate video quality using real-time generative AI while simultaneously reducing bitrates.
dh/KeyFrame delivers true 1080p and 4K, reduces buffering and latency, and seamlessly integrates into existing live linear and file-based pipeline infrastructure. It conditions video content to allow your existing encoding chain to be more effective, lowering final bitrates by up to 80% without sacrificing video quality. Streaming Providers can realize cost savings throughout the video supply chain, unlock significant value from reclaimed bandwidth, and reduce storage and CDN costs.
The MediaScale Open CDN™ solution leverages Vecima’s existing edge caching technology that currently enables a broad set of global operators to deliver high-quality IP video content to millions of subscribers. Through Open Caching technology developed by members of the Streaming Video Technology Alliance, this large cache footprint can be used to bring significant value to content providers and improve customer satisfaction for millions of video subscribers.
Vecima’s Open CDN can be provisioned by the Open Caching APIs (Application Programming Interface) to deliver and cache video content on behalf of the provisioning upstream provider’s content delivery network (CDN). The subscriber’s viewing experience is significantly improved since the content is cached deep inside the operator’s network ― which is much closer to the subscriber than is currently possible using public CDNs.
“Today’s viewer demands smooth, high-quality video on any device, anywhere,” said Paul Strickland, Vice President and General Manager, Vecima Content Delivery & Storage. “The dh/KeyFrame and Open CDN solutions help Content Providers reduce costs while improving content quality – ultimately driving viewer satisfaction and reducing churn. We have the data and can show you how to significantly improve your customer satisfaction and bottom line.”
