Vecima Signs Supply Agreement with Major MSO

VICTORIA – (January 13, 2015) – Vecima Networks Inc. (TSX:VCM), an experienced designer and manufacturer of innovative technology in the broadband equipment market, is announcing today that it has signed a supply agreement with a major MSO to support its all-digital conversion across the United States of America. The supply agreement covers Vecima’s Terrace product line which is used to provide a bulk video offering in the commercial premise after the all-digital conversion.

“We are very excited to finalize another supply agreement with one of the largest cable MSOs in North America,” stated Sumit Kumar, President and CEO. “To date, Vecima has sold approximately $7 million of Terrace family products to this customer representing the early stage requirements related to their all-digital conversion. The majority of the network remains to be converted at this operator and Vecima has received a substantial order for delivery in the first quarter of calendar 2015. Our team remains steadfast in securing agreements for platforms that support MSOs globally.”

In all, Vecima has sold well in excess of $100 million in Terrace family products. The Terrace product line has been well received and endorsed by operators because of its ability to provide high quality video service in both a scalable and reliable package. The broad adoption of this product demonstrates that operators require these devices on commercial premises in order to effectively transition to digital networks. Vecima is the leading supplier in this market.

Vecima recently launched the TC600E platform marking the latest addition to the Terrace family of products. The TC600E platform adds support for MPEG-4 and high definition inputs along with a more than four times increase in input capacity. These added features are attractive to cable operators utilizing MPEG-4 video or who are migrating to more efficient broadcast lineups that limit or completely remove standard definition from the network.
