Sumit Kumar
Chief Executive Officer
Sumit Kumar is the President & CEO of Vecima Networks. With significant technical and executive experience, Sumit worked in Vecima’s R&D department on the architecture and development of EdgeQAM and WiMax products as well as within the business development and senior management groups since joining Vecima in 1995.
Sumit works closely with the senior management team and the Board of Directors to develop and execute the overall strategy for the Company. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
Dean Rockwell
Executive Vice President
Dean Rockwell, is the Executive Vice President, joining Vecima in January 2014 after serving on the company’s Board of Directors for two years.
With three decades of experience leading successful technology-intensive businesses around the world, Dean was most recently CEO of In Motion Technology. During his career he has worked extensively internationally and held roles including c-level, general management, business and strategy development, direct sales & sales management, product management, product development and operations.
Dean spent over twenty years as a senior executive with Scientific-Atlanta and Cisco as Vice President and General Manager of the Headend Systems and Digital Media Networks businesses.
Dale Booth
Chief Financial Officer
Dale Booth is the CFO of Vecima, joining the company as Vice President of Finance in 2011 as an integral part of Vecima’s finance team, and participating closely in key strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Vecima, Dale served as Vice President Finance and Corporate Controller of the Yanke Group of Companies, as Chief Financial Officer of the Transall Group of Companies, and in increasingly senior financial positions with Trimac Transportation. He also served with KPMG for five years.
Clay McCreery
Chief Operating Officer
Clay McCreery is the Chief Operating Officer, joining Vecima when they acquired Concurrent Technology Inc. in December 2017.
Prior to the acquisition, Clay served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Concurrent Technology since April 2015. Clay previously served at ARRIS Group (NASDAQ: ARRS), where he held the position of Senior Vice President of North American Regional Cable and managed revenue nearing $1 billion annually.Prior to ARRIS, Clay held leadership positions at C-COR (acquired by ARRS) and Highspeed Communications.
Colin Howlett
Chief Technology Officer
Colin Howlett is the Chief Technology Officer, joining Vecima in 1997. He is responsible for defining the overall technology strategy at Vecima and leads a group of product architects who work directly with customers to define the next generation of Vecima products.
Colin has been an active participant in industry standards development within CableLabs and the WiMAX Forum, and is currently actively involved in DOCSIS 3.1 initiatives at CableLabs. He holds multiple patents related to his work in cable broadband access systems at Vecima.
Colin holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
Kyle Goodwin
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Content Delivery & Storage
Kyle Goodwin comes from a financial technology background, with 15 years of experience leading the development and productization of mission critical applications in banking, insurance, and finance.
Kyle joined Concurrent Technology, which Vecima acquired in December 2017, in March 2016 to lead research and development of the company’s content delivery portfolio of products through a time of transition in the cable industry. He has led the creation of products for the IP video streaming space and continues to guide Vecima’s investments in the future of video in his current position as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Content Delivery & Storage. Kyle continues to lead new product creation as well as product line management for all the Vecima products.
Lindsay Ryerson
Vice President and General Manager, Telematics
Lindsay Ryerson is the Vice President and General Manager for the Telematics Segment of Vecima, joining Vecima when they acquired Contigo Systems in March 2016. Prior to the acquisition, Lindsay had been the CEO at Contigo Systems Inc. since 2013. He is experienced in growing companies, having previously taken a division of a publicly held company, NII Norsat International, from $3½ million to $35 M over a period of 5 years. He also led the video product management group for Honeywell Security, a division of the $35 billion Fortune 50 company, Honeywell Inc.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.
Ryan Nicometo
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Video & Broadband Solutions
Ryan Nicometo, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Video & Broadband Solutions, joined Vecima when the company acquired Concurrent Technology Inc. in December 2017.
Ryan joined Concurrent in July 2015 as Vice President of North American sales and held the position of SVP of Product for Concurrent prior to the organization being acquired by Vecima Networks. Prior to joining Concurrent, Ryan held leadership roles at ARRIS Group, CCI Systems, and Motorola. While at ARRIS, Ryan managed $800M of revenue annually as Regional Vice President of Sales, a continuation of sales and technical sales roles he held at the time ARRIS acquired the Motorola Home asset from Google.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering for Michigan Technological University and a second Bachelor of Science degree in Scientific & Technical Communications from the same university.
Jeff White
Senior Vice President, Cable Strategy
Jeff White is the Senior Vice President of Cable Strategy, joining Vecima when they acquired Nokia’s Gainspeed Business Unit in August 2020.
Jeff has over 25 years of experience building and investing in early stage technology companies, most recently co-founding Gainspeed, which was acquired by Nokia in January 2017. Before serving as Nokia’s Head of Cable Access and Business Development, Jeff held executive leadership positions at Hatteras Networks (Adva), Cognio (Cisco), Aruba Networks (IPO), Packet Engines (Alcatel), and FORE Systems (IPO).
Jeff holds an MBA from the University of Virginia – Darden Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Dan Gledhill
Senior Vice President, Global Sales
Dan Gledhill, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, joined Vecima through the acquisition of Concurrent Technology Inc.
Since starting with Concurrent in 2015, Dan has helped more than double the number of active cable and telco providers served. Prior Concurrent, Dan held sales roles at ARRIS Group and Motorola where he supported more than 100 cable operators with products spanning video, data delivery, and the access network.
Dan holds Bachelor’s degrees in Material Science & Engineering from Columbia University and Physics from Colgate University.

Osamu “Sammy” Nakamura
President, Vecima Japan
Osamu “Sammy” Nakamura has held numerous leadership positions including his current position as Representative Director, President, Vecima Solutions Corporation, the newly established company for Vecima Content Delivery and Storage, and Vecima Broadband Solutions product for the Japan and Asia Pacific market. Previous to this Mr. Nakamura served as Representative Director, President of Concurrent Nippon Corporation beginning in May 1997. Osamu has over 53 years of experience working in the IT industry, having worked at Nihon Unisys (Ex Nippon Univac) in sales, marketing, product planning, development and system integration for PC to Mainframe and hardware and software. Mr. Nakamura also has considerable experience in the Video on Demand business and Real-Time business at Concurrent Nippon Corporation in Japan, a former wholly-owned subsidiary of Concurrent Computer Corporation.
Osamu has a Bachelor of Commerce from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.
Laird Froese
Senior Vice President, Research & Development, Video Broadband Solutions
Laird Froese is the Senior Vice President of Research & Development of Video Broadband Solutions, joining Vecima in 1997. Within Vecima he has held several leadership positions and has been directly responsible for numerous major projects. Laird’s strong background in project management, employee management, and software development has ideally positioned him to lead Vecima’s industry leading Research & Development team.
Laird is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, with a Bachelor of Commerce in Computational Science.
Brian Brown
Senior Vice President, Customer Operations and Technology
Brian Brown joined Concurrent Technology, which Vecima acquired in December 2017, in February 2015 to transform the company’s Sales Enablement processes to promote Business Agility.
Brian is responsible for Customer Program Management, Customer Support, Technical Content & Training, and Business Technologies. Before joining Vecima, Brian dedicated his career to leading process improvement projects across a variety of disciplines including Agile Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and obtaining a Six Sigma Black Belt certification through Motorola University. Brian is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University’s MBA program and Virginia Polytechnic University where he concentrated in organizational psychology.
Barry Smith
Vice President, Client Services
Barry Smith, Vice President, Client Services, joined Vecima when the company acquired Concurrent Technology Inc. in December 2017. Barry joined Concurrent in September 2007. Over the last 10 years, he has worked tirelessly to strengthen relationships with our customers, streamline processes, and grow our Service business. Barry has played a pivotal role in modernizing our Support infrastructure and ensuring we can support a growing customer base, across multiple verticals, within complex environments. Prior to Concurrent, Barry held similar roles at Convergys and MediaOne (acquired by AT&T).
David Hobb
Vice President, Operations
David Hobb is the Vice President of Operations, joining Vecima in April of 2017.
David has over twenty years experience in Product Development and Global Operations and has led teams to introduce over one hundred new products into manufacturing for companies ranging from start-ups to larger companies such as Glen Dimplex and SMART Technologies. David is named in several patents for consumer products and, prior to joining Vecima, most recently completed a 3 year business process transformation project for a private equity held manufacturing company.
David holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Newcastle University.
Gerry Vreeswijk
Director, Human Resources
Gerry Vreeswijk is the Director, Human Resources, joining Vecima in February of 2018.
With more than 15 years experience building and leading the talent management capability for high growth, fast paced international technology companies, Gerry has developed high performance talent in support of the organization’s strategic business vision to drive business growth.
Gerry is responsible for guiding all elements of human resource management as the company grows its business globally with an exceptional workforce, developing Vecima as a top choice employer.
Peter Torn
General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Peter Torn is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, joining Vecima in July of 2016. As a securities and corporate commercial lawyer, he has 20 years’ experience advising companies in Europe, Asia and the US.
Peter has been involved in a wide range of corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, takeovers, corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, cross-border transactions, stock exchange listings, initial public offerings, public and private financings, and securities regulatory issues.
Peter has a MBA and LLB from the University of British Columbia and is a current member of the British Columbia Law Society.
