Bridge the Digital Divide

There is power in connectivity, and it starts with equitable broadband access.

The Entra SF-4X Remote Optical Line Terminal is now manufactured in the USA to meet Build America Buy America requirements under the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program.

“Our current Entra® Fiber and Cable Access platforms have been broadly successful with service providers due to strong technical and operational differentiation. Vecima is committed to empowering communities with equitable access to the broadband networks that fuel progress.”

Clay McCreery, Chief Operating Officer

BEAD-Ready

Vecima is proud to support the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program with fiber Optical Line Terminals (OLTs) manufactured in the U.S.  It’s the latest milestone in our mission to help bring fast, reliable, accessible broadband to people everywhere, including in rural and underserved communities.

BABA-Compliant

In 2024, we expanded manufacturing into the U.S. for select products in our Entra® portfolio to meet the proposed Build America Buy America (BABA) requirements under the BEAD program. We now partner with MARA Technologies USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Invotek Group, to manufacture fiber OLTs in MARA Technologies’ Holly, Michigan facility. The partnership is expected to create approximately 100 new U.S.-based manufacturing jobs at the MARA facility and gives over 1,400 fiber broadband service providers the ability to source BABA-compliant Fiber Access products from Vecima.

Community-Focused

Broadband powers essential services such as education, healthcare, and government resources. It drives economic development, community engagement, inclusion, and equality in the digital economy. Yet, many communities are not currently connected to fast, reliable broadband. The BEAD program is an engine for us to expand broadband access and bridge the digital divide in America.

BEAD appropriates $42.45 billion for states, territories, the District of Columbia (D.C.), and Puerto Rico (P.R.) to use for broadband deployment, mapping, and adoption projects. Expanding manufacturing of our Entra Fiber Access OLTs to the U.S. offers service providers an industry-recognized OLT option for their build out of fiber broadband networks under the BEAD program.

Vecima’s industry-leading portfolio of 10G PON products have achieved strong market adoption. In March 2023, the Dell’Oro Group named Vecima the global market share leader in both Remote MACPHY and Remote OLT Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) solutions.
